The Senior Center is open Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday 9:30 - 2:30

The center is open to all residents over age 55. Stop in for a tour and monthly calendar of events, coffee, tea, and companionship.

Exercise: Exercise videos offered Mon. and Fri. at 10 a.m. No charge! Our exercise room is open to all any day, except Wed., when the center is open. We have a bike and three treadmills for use and videos as needed. The park has a path that is ¾-mile around, for use anytime. NEW – Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease Program starting on April 24 through May 29 every Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Elma Senior Center. Arthritis Tai Chi every Thursday at 10:00 am at the Senior Center.

Woodcarvers: Tues., 9 a.m. Area woodcarvers meet to enjoy sharing and working together. Many projects are shown at the Erie County Fair.

Cards: Thurs, 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. euchre is offered. We are always looking for more players.

Needlers: Second and fourth Tuesday, 10:30 p.m. Crafts are made for fundraisers and local charities. Come work on your own project with other crafters, bring a project to share, or work on lap robes, kemo hats or other items for Roswell or nursing homes.

Library: Books galore! No charge, no time limit. Library is open during regular hours for anyone wishing to borrow or drop off books or magazines.

Clubs: Wed., 12 noon: Elma Seniors have been meeting for over 30 years with a bag lunch, six Banquets for holidays, 50/50, bingo, cards, dominos, pool and weekly meetings. Coffee and tea are provided. We celebrate birthdays once per month, plus other activities. This is a social club and will have open seating for anyone wishing to visit. We are looking for new members! Tues., 11:30 a.m.: Seniors meet for snacks and games.

Trips: Each month there is a local one-day trip from the center. May will be Jersey Boys at Shea's; June will be a Buffalo Tour w/Lafayette; July is the Culinary Institute and Grand Lady Boat Tour; Aug. is the Genesee County Museum w/Red Osier; Sept is the Seneca Allegany Casino and Oct is the Old Library in Olean and Dec is a Christmas Tour. We are also planning three overnight trips this year. May 20-22, Thousand Islands; August 5 & 6, Corning, Elmira and October, NYC w/show. These trips are for members first but open after the first week to all. Call for pricing & register.

July 25 - Polish/German dinner followed by the Schnicklefritzers Concert at the Village Green.

October 19 - Harvest Celebration Dinner

The center offers AARP’s driving class three times a year, March, July & October, plus flu shots, HEAP, speakers and other interests to seniors.

Marilla Senior Citizens
The seniors meet every second and fourth Thursday of the Month at 12 noon at the Marilla Community Center, 1810 Two Rod Road. Before our meetings we enjoy dessert, coffee and tea. After our meetings we have speakers on an informative subject, or we play games, cards, or bingo. We always have a 50/50 split. We have a very active calendar, with picnics, potlucks, and holiday parties. Each month there is a one day trip or luncheon, please feel free to contact Helen at 652-0573 for further information if interested. On April 28 through May 5 a trip to Myrtle Beach is planned and on September 29 to October 3 a trip is planned to Boston and Salem. Wales Senior Citizens

The seniors meet the first Monday of every month, except for holidays when the meeting is held on the second Monday. Meetings are held at the Wales Center Town Hall on 20A. Seniors start to gather around 10:30 a.m. and lunch will begin at noon. Everyone is asked to bring a dish to pass. Each month activities offer something special for all involved. This is a great time to spend time with friends.
